The Waterfall EP Rollout Planner
Plan a professional, multi-single 'waterfall' release for a hypothetical 4-song EP. Think like a strategist.
In this 5-day challenge, you will architect a full promotional campaign for a 4-song EP. You will learn the 'waterfall' strategy by scheduling lead singles, planning content, and preparing your pitch, turning a collection of songs into a cohesive and compelling release event.
The plan, day by day
- Day 1Name your 4-song EP and its tracks. Decide which two songs will be lead singles and set a final release date for the full EP at least 3 months from now.
- Day 2Using the '21-Day Release' framework, map out the detailed 3-week pre-release timeline for your *first* lead single. Note key dates for artwork, distribution, and pitching.
- Day 3Write a short, compelling DSP pitch for your first single. Then, feed it to an AI chatbot and ask it to 'rewrite this pitch in three different styles: one confident, one vulnerable, one mysterious.' Select the strongest version.
- Day 4Define the EP's overarching emotional theme in one sentence (e.g., 'A journey from blissful ignorance to harsh reality.'). Write down three specific social media content ideas that will visually or textually tell this story across the full 3-month campaign.
- Day 5Create a master campaign calendar. Plot the release dates for both singles and the final EP. Work backwards from each date to set your non-negotiable deadlines for distribution submission and DSP pitching.
