The Triple-Threat Release Plan

Design a launch week strategy that targets all three major playlisting ecosystems.

Over 5 days, you will build a comprehensive plan for your next single that includes distinct actions to court editorial curators, trigger algorithms, and encourage fan playlisting.

The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1(Editorial) Write a 150-word pitch for your next single, intended for a DSP's official submission portal. Focus on the story and context behind the song.
  2. Day 2(Algorithmic) Outline your release day content plan. Specify the exact calls-to-action (e.g., 'Save Now,' 'Add to your library') you will use on email and social media to drive listener activity.
  3. Day 3(User-Curated) Identify and list 10 independent or fan-made playlists that are a perfect fit for your song's genre and mood.
  4. Day 4(AI Leverage) Choose one independent curator from your list. Use an AI tool to help you draft a personalized, concise, and respectful outreach email.
  5. Day 5(Emotional Resonance) Define three specific moods or activities your song is perfect for (e.g., 'rainy day focus,' 'pre-game energy'). This is the language you'll use to encourage fans to add it to their personal playlists.
