The Pre-Release Sync-Ready Week

Prepare your next single for sync before it even drops.

This 5-day challenge integrates critical sync preparation steps into your existing pre-release workflow, ensuring you are ready for licensing opportunities from day one.

The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1Choose your next single. Create a single folder containing the final WAV, a 320kbps MP3, and the final instrumental mix. Name files clearly.
  2. Day 2Design a simple, one-page PDF 'one-sheet' for the song. Include the artwork, a 100-word artist bio, a 50-word song description, and your contact information for licensing.
  3. Day 3Using an AI research assistant, identify five music supervisors or sync agents who are a strong fit for your genre and sound. Log their company and contact information.
  4. Day 4Gut-check your pitch. Draft a three-sentence email that you could send to these contacts. The first sentence must state the song's primary emotion and function. Test its emotional resonance by asking if the description matches the song.
  5. Day 5Package your assets. Create a private SoundCloud or DISCO playlist with the song and instrumental. Write a short description. Your sync pitch is now armed and ready to deploy post-release.
