The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1Lock the release date. Set distributor pitch deadline at 21+ days out.
  2. Day 2Write the one-sentence story of the song. Save it where you can copy-paste it.
  3. Day 3Finalise cover art and at least three derivative visuals (square, vertical, story).
  4. Day 4Submit to your distributor with full metadata, splits, and pitch text.
  5. Day 7Public announcement post: visual + date + the one sentence.
  6. Day 10Share a 30-second clip of the song in context. Live, raw, or behind-the-scenes.
  7. Day 14Open pre-save. Pin to all profiles. DM your 25 most active fans personally.
  8. Day 17Share the story behind the song — written or voice note. Long-form on one platform.
  9. Day 19Second clip from a different angle. Different setting, same song.
  10. Day 20Thank-you post drafted and queued for launch day.
  11. Day 21Release. Reply to every comment for the first 90 minutes. Post the thank-you.
