The Catalog Catalyst Release Plan

Design a release that lifts your entire body of work.

In 4 days, you will plan a release for a new single that strategically incorporates and promotes one of your older songs, creating a compounding growth effect for your catalog.

The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1Pairing Your Tracks. Choose your next single to release. Now, browse your back catalog and select one older song that is thematically or sonically similar. This will be its 'companion track'.
  2. Day 2Emotional Resonance Pitching. Write two separate playlist pitches. One for your new single, one for the companion track. Both pitches must lead with the specific feeling the song evokes, referencing our 'Emotional Resonance' guide.
  3. Day 3AI-Powered Curator Discovery. Using an AI tool ('AI for Musicians'), generate a list of 10 playlist curators for your new single and a *different* list of 10 curators for your companion track. Focus on micro-curators and niche playlists.
  4. Day 4Content Planning. Outline one piece of social media content (e.g., a short video, a carousel post) that you will post during release week. The content's goal is to explicitly connect the new single to the older companion track.
