This 5-day challenge guides you through researching, targeting, and crafting a compelling pitch for an upcoming release, using data and AI to maximize your chances of getting added.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Define Your Target. For your next release, write a single sentence that defines its genre, mood, and ideal listening context. This is your targeting statement.
2. Day 2AI-Powered Research. Use an AI tool to find 15 potential playlist targets (editorial or independent). Prompt it with your targeting statement from Day 1. Vet the list for relevance and quality.
3. Day 3Craft Your Emotional Hook. Based on the 'Emotional Resonance' guide, write the 'mood' and 'feeling' section of your pitch. Why should someone feel compelled by this song? What story does it tell in 50 words?
4. Day 4Assemble the Pitch. Combine your targeting, emotional hook, and key facts (artist bio, release date) into a single, concise pitch document, following the 'Pitch Made Perfect' framework.
5. Day 5Pressure Test. Share your pitch with a trusted peer or in the Skool community. Ask them: 'Based on this pitch, would you listen to the song?' Refine based on feedback.
