The plan, day by day
- Day 1: Schedule The Board MeetingBlock a 3-hour, non-negotiable 'CEO Meeting' in your calendar for later this week. Treat it with the same seriousness as a sold-out performance.
- Day 2: Set The AgendaWrite a 3-point agenda for your meeting. Each point should be a strategic question. Example: 1. Review last month's income/expenses. 2. What is the #1 goal for next quarter? 3. What is the biggest obstacle to that goal?
- Day 3: Engage Your AI AnalystUse an AI tool to prepare for one agenda item. Prompt example: 'Act as a business consultant for an indie musician. What are 3 key metrics I should be tracking monthly to measure the health of my career?'
- Day 4: Execute the CEO BlockHold your 3-hour meeting with yourself. Work through your agenda. No creative tasks. Make decisions and define clear, actionable next steps for your business.
- Day 5: Connect Business to ArtReflect on your CEO block. How does the clarity you gained (or the problems you identified) affect your emotional state as an artist? Write down how a stronger business could enable more resonant art.
