The Three-Year Vision Sprint
Architect your career by drafting a one-page strategic vision for the next three years.
This high-impact challenge guides you to step out of the day-to-day and into the CEO's chair. You will create a concise, powerful document that defines your mission, goals, and core principles for the next 36 months.
The plan, day by day
- Day 1Write your 'Emotional North Star.' In a single sentence, define the core feeling you want your name to be synonymous with in three years. Post it where you can see it all week.
- Day 2Use an AI tool as a consultant. Prompt it: 'Acting as a music business coach, ask me 10 clarifying questions to help me define my 3-year career goals as an independent musician.' Answer them thoughtfully.
- Day 3Based on your answers, define three clear, measurable goals for the next three years. One creative (e.g., 'release two EPs'), one audience (e.g., 'reach 1,000 email subscribers'), and one financial (e.g., 'generate $X from sync').
- Day 4Define your 'Non-Goals.' List three things you will intentionally NOT do or chase over the next three years (e.g., 'I will not chase daily social media trends,' 'I will not release music I'm not 100% proud of').
- Day 5Assemble your work into a one-page PDF: Your Emotional North Star at the top, followed by your 3-year goals and your Non-Goals. This is your strategic charter. Save it and review it quarterly.
