The 3-Year Vision Sprint
Architect the high-level strategic vision for your artist business over the next seven days.
This is a CEO-level strategic planning exercise. You will step back from the daily grind to define your long-term mission, map potential revenue, and establish your brand's core principles, creating the first draft of a real business plan.
The plan, day by day
- 1The Mission Statement. Write a single, concise sentence that defines the mission of your artist business. What is the ultimate impact you aim to create over the next three years?
- 2Revenue Stream Sketch. Brainstorm and list at least five potential revenue streams for your business beyond music streaming (e.g., a paid community, a sample pack line, virtual concerts, production services).
- 3AI-Assisted Market Research. Choose one new revenue stream from Day 2. Use an AI assistant to generate a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) for an independent artist entering that specific market.
- 4The Brand's Emotional Core. Define your brand's Emotional Resonance in exactly three words (e.g., 'Wistful, Resilient, Hopeful'). This becomes your compass for all future business and creative decisions.
- 5The 'Strategic No' List. Based on your brand's emotional core from Day 4, list five types of opportunities or activities you will strategically decline, even if they seem lucrative (e.g., 'No collaborations with brands that feel frivolous').
- 6Year One Keystone. What is the single most important milestone you must achieve in the next 12 months to stay on track for your 3-year vision? Be specific and measurable.
- 7The One-Page Plan. Synthesize your work from the past six days onto a single document. This is the executive summary and first draft of your artist business plan.
