The Sync-to-Stream Growth Funnel

Map the journey from a passive listener to an active fan, triggered by a sync.

This challenge asks you to think like a marketer and a publisher. You will simulate how a sync placement can drive discovery and build a direct relationship with a new listener.

The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1: Identify the Sync TargetChoose a specific TV show or brand you admire. Identify a scene or ad where one of your existing songs would be a perfect fit.
  2. Day 2: Define the Emotional MatchWrite a 50-word description of *why* your song is the perfect emotional fit for that moment. What feeling does it instantly create or amplify for the viewer?
  3. Day 3: AI-Powered Search SimulationImagine a viewer hearing your song. Use an AI chatbot and prompt it: 'I just heard a song in a show with the lyrics [your lyrics]. What song is it?' See if it can find your track. If not, what metadata is missing?
  4. Day 4: Test the Fan OnboardingOnce a fan finds your song on Spotify, what is the next step you want them to take? Is your artist profile optimized with a clear bio, links, and a call to 'Follow'?
  5. Day 5: Map the Growth LoopCreate a simple flowchart: 'Sync Placement -> Shazam/Google Search -> Spotify Discovery -> Follow Artist -> New Release Notification.' This is the complete, publishing-fueled growth funnel.
