This 5-day challenge simulates the aftermath of a major sync placement. You will audit and optimize your online presence to ensure you are ready to capture and retain new listeners who discover you through film or TV.

The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1Audit your primary artist profiles (Spotify, Apple Music). Is your bio updated? Is your pinned artist pick your most 'syncable' song? Is your main photo high-quality?
  2. Day 2Set up a Google Alert and a social listening column in a tool like Hootsuite or TweetDeck for your artist name plus the name of a show you'd love to be on (e.g., '"Your Artist Name" "Grey's Anatomy"').
  3. Day 3(Emotional Resonance Step) Create a public playlist on Spotify titled '[Your Artist Name]: The Feeling.' Fill it with 10-15 of your songs and songs by other artists that share the same core emotional DNA.
  4. Day 4(AI Step) Use an AI image generator to create a suite of 5 branded visual assets (e.g., quote cards with your lyrics, abstract visuals matching your music's mood) for use on social media.
  5. Day 5Draft a 'Welcome' social media post. Assume your song just aired. Thank the show and music supervisor, and direct new followers to your 'The Feeling' playlist. Save this draft.
