The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Define the full scope of your next project (e.g., a 4-track EP). Make a list of every single master file you will need to create (e.g., 4 streaming masters, 4 instrumentals, 1 vinyl side A, 1 vinyl side B).
2. Day 2Use an AI assistant to model your costs. Prompt it: 'Create a sample three-tiered budget for mastering a 4-track EP. Tier 1: High-end human engineer. Tier 2: Mid-tier human engineer. Tier 3: Premium AI mastering service. Include line items for instrumentals.' This gives you a clear financial landscape.
3. Day 3Write a one-page 'Mastering Brief.' Do not use technical terms. Instead, describe the project's desired Emotional Resonance. Use adjectives like 'warm,' 'punchy,' 'spacious,' 'intimate,' or 'aggressive.' This ensures the engineer's technical work serves your core artistic intent.
