In this 2-day challenge, you will create a definitive rights management sheet for a single song, ensuring every version has a unique ISRC and is properly prepared for registration.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Choose one song that has (or will have) multiple versions. Using an AI assistant from the 'AI for Musicians' guide, generate a spreadsheet template with columns for: Version Name, ISRC, Release Date, and Notes. Populate this sheet for your streaming master, instrumental, and vinyl pre-master.
2. Day 2Focus on the primary streaming master. Listen to it critically. Does this specific sonic presentation best serve the song's core Emotional Resonance? Before registering, ensure this version is the one that tells the story most effectively. Then, log into your distributor and assign the correct ISRC to the corresponding audio file.
