This challenge guides you in creating a production 'mission statement' for a current song, ensuring your technical choices amplify, rather than dilute, the spirit of your original demo.
The plan, day by day
- Day 1Select a recent demo. Listen three times. Write a one-paragraph 'Emotional Mission Statement' defining the core feeling it must convey. This is your north star.
- Day 2Using the 'AI for Musicians' guide, prompt an AI tool with your mission statement and lyrical themes. Generate a list of 10 production ideas (instrumentation, effects, textures) that align with the demo's mood.
- Day 3Begin a new production session. Import the original demo as a reference track. Implement one AI-generated idea. A/B test against the demo. Does it enhance the core feeling? This is your emotional resonance gut-check.
