This 3-day challenge guides you to strip a song back to its essence, use AI to test its strength, and create a definitive production mandate to protect its emotional core.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Choose a song you are currently producing or have finished. Record a new, one-take demo with only one instrument and your voice. Listen back and write down the single most important feeling it conveys. This is your Emotional Resonance benchmark.
2. Day 2Take the audio from your new demo. Use an AI tool to generate three simple, contrasting instrumental arrangement ideas (e.g., 'ambient piano,' 'minimalist electronic beat,' 'acoustic string section'). Evaluate: do these ideas enhance or distract from the core feeling you identified?
3. Day 3Write a one-paragraph 'Production Mandate' for the song. State the core emotion and list 3-5 non-negotiable elements from the demo (e.g., 'the fragile vocal delivery in verse one,' 'the specific timing of the chorus melody') that must be preserved in any final version.
