This 5-day challenge guides you through modeling the long-term financial impact of two different hypothetical record deals. Using AI-assisted forecasting, you will transform abstract deal terms into concrete financial projections, empowering you to see which partnership truly builds a sustainable business.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1List your primary artist business revenue streams (e.g., streaming, merch, live performance). Assign a realistic current annual income figure to each.
2. Day 2Define two hypothetical offers. Deal A: $100k advance, 15% royalty, label owns masters in perpetuity. Deal B: $25k advance, 20% royalty, masters revert to you after 15 years.
3. Day 3Using a spreadsheet and an AI assistant, project your net artist income over a 20-year period for both Deal A and Deal B. Assume a modest 10% annual growth in streaming revenue.
