Create and document a new composition in five days.

This challenge guides you through the process of writing a new song while simultaneously completing the foundational documentation required to establish it as a publishing asset.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Define a core emotional concept. Write a single sentence describing the specific feeling you want your listener to experience.
2. Day 2Write the lyrics and melody for your song. Constantly refer back to your core emotional concept to ensure every line serves the feeling.
3. Day 3Use an AI tool (e.g., a chord progression generator or lyric idea assistant) to generate three alternative harmonic or lyrical ideas for your song's bridge. Integrate the strongest option.
4. Day 4Record a simple worktape (a phone voice memo is sufficient). Name the file with the date and title. This creates a tangible record of your creation.
5. Day 5Complete and sign a split sheet for the new song. If you are the sole writer, assign yourself 100%. Save it with your worktape.
