The plan, day by day
- Day 1Create a master spreadsheet of your entire song catalog. Include columns for Title, Co-writers, Ownership Splits, and ISWC (if you have it).
- Day 2Use an AI writing assistant to draft a formal email template to a potential collaborator. The email should propose a co-writing session and mention that you use a standard split sheet.
- Day 3Research the requirements and benefits of forming a sole-proprietorship or LLC in your state/country for the purpose of holding intellectual property.
- Day 4Review your most recent royalty statement. Identify your single highest-earning composition.
- Day 5Write a one-paragraph analysis of your top-earning song. Why does it have such strong emotional resonance? What specific lesson can you apply to your next composition?
