The plan, day by day
- Day 1Select a target user-curated playlist in your genre. Analyze the top three songs for structure, lyrical themes, and melodic hook placement.
- Day 2(AI Leverage) Use an AI tool from the 'AI for Musicians' guide to brainstorm 10 new lyrical angles or chord progressions based on your Day 1 analysis. Use this as raw material.
- Day 3Write a compelling verse and chorus. Focus on a strong, clear melodic hook and a concise lyrical concept.
- Day 4(Emotional Resonance) Record a simple voice memo of your verse and chorus. Listen back and write down the single, specific emotion it evokes. If it is unclear, refine the melody or a key lyric until the feeling is sharp.
- Day 5Finalize a one-minute demo of your song idea. The goal is not a finished production, but a powerful core concept proven to be emotionally resonant and structurally sound.
