Challenge: The 3-Day First Product Prototype
Design the first tangible piece of your world.
Over three days, you will define your ideal fan and brainstorm, select, and describe your first product—the crucial first offer that turns a follower into a patron.
The plan, day by day
- Day 1Write a one-paragraph profile of your 'superfan.' Go beyond demographics. What do they value? What feeling do they seek from your music and your world?
- Day 2Using your superfan profile, prompt an AI tool to brainstorm five 'first product' ideas. Your prompt: 'For a fan who values [insert value from Day 1], suggest five products or experiences an indie musician could offer.' Ideas might include digital goods, physical merch, or exclusive access.
- Day 3Choose one product idea from the list. Write a 100-word description for it. Focus entirely on the benefit to the fan. How does this product deepen their connection to the music? How does it honor the Emotional Resonance of your work?
