The Copyright-Safe AI Audit

Three days to make your AI-assisted song defensible — and registrable — before you ship it.

Three days to take the song you finished in the AI Co-Write Sprint and prepare a clean copyright registration packet. You will separate human contributions from machine output, write the AI disclosure, sign splits with co-writers, and end with a registration-ready file.

The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1Map every contribution in the song. List each line, hook, melody, and arrangement decision and tag it as written by you, written by a co-writer, edited from an AI output, or kept verbatim from an AI output. Pull dated drafts and prompt history as supporting evidence.
  2. Day 2Draft the AI-content disclosure statement in plain language. State what AI tools were used, what they produced, and what you disclaim from the registration. Have a co-writer review it.
  3. Day 3Sign split sheets with every human contributor. AI gets no share. File the song for copyright registration with the disclosure attached, or queue the filing if you need a witness signature first.
