Forge a single song into a beacon for your first true fans.
In this three-day challenge, you will take one song—new or existing—and intentionally refine its lyrical, melodic, and thematic core to maximize its potential to create a deep, lasting fan connection.
The plan, day by day
- Day 1Identify the Core Emotion. Write a single, declarative sentence that states the precise emotional thesis of your song. Is it 'regret over a specific missed opportunity' or 'quiet pride in solitude'? Be exact.
- Day 2Pressure-Test for Resonance. Record a simple voice memo of your song's verse and chorus. Send it to one trusted peer and ask: 'What single image or memory does this bring to your mind?' If their answer is vague, the resonance needs sharpening.
- Day 3Execute an AI-Powered Deepening. Using the core emotion from Day 1, prompt an AI tool: 'Generate 10 poetic metaphors for the feeling of [your core emotion].' Integrate the most powerful one into your lyric to elevate its specificity.
