The AI Co-Write Sprint

Finish one real song in five days using AI as your co-writer, not your ghostwriter.

Five days to take an AI-assisted song from blank page to demo. You write the brief, direct the model, edit ruthlessly, and end the week with a finished lyric, a melody draft, and a documented human-contribution log that the next four challenges build on.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Write the brief. Point of view, narrator, who is being spoken to, the one image you cannot let go of, and the emotion you want the listener to feel in the body. One page, by hand.
2. Day 2Generate ten lyric drafts from the brief. Read each aloud. Keep the three that produce a body response. Combine the strongest lines into a v1 lyric and rewrite the numb lines yourself.
3. Day 3Lock structure and melody. Ask the model for three structural options and four melodic contour ideas. Pick one of each. Sing the chorus into a voice memo before you go to bed.
4. Day 4Cut a rough demo. Vocal over a simple chord bed. No production polish. The goal is a take you can play for a stranger without explanation.
5. Day 5Run the stranger test. Send the demo to three people who do not know the story. Note their first reaction. Update the human-contribution log with every edit, retake, and lyric change from the week.
