In one week, take a nearly-finished song and put it through a gauntlet of tests to identify and fix weak points, ensuring its emotional and technical readiness for a 21-day release campaign.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Finalize your 'work-in-progress' demo. Export a high-quality MP3.
2. Day 2Using an AI lyric analyzer, generate a report on your song's sentiment, complexity, and word usage. Note any surprising results.
3. Day 3Play the demo for three trusted, objective listeners. Ask them one question: 'What one word describes how this song makes you feel?'
4. Day 4Compare the listener feedback to your original intent. Identify the biggest gap. Is the song landing emotionally as you designed?
5. Day 5Make one strategic change to the song—a lyric, a melodic phrase, a structural edit—to close the emotional gap identified on Day 4.
6. Day 6Create a new mix incorporating your change. This is your 'release candidate' version.
7. Day 7Perform the 'car test.' Listen to the final version in a different environment, away from your studio. Make your final go/no-go decision for the release.
