Establish your professional authority by creating content about the business behind your music.

In this 5-day challenge, you will create a package of short-form video content that demystifies a key aspect of music publishing, positioning you as an expert.

The plan, day by day

1. Day 1Create a simple graphic or short animation visualizing a songwriting split sheet. Use percentages and roles (e.g., 'Lyrics,' 'Composition') but keep writer names generic.
2. Day 2Use an AI assistant (see 'AI for Musicians' guide) to generate a 60-word script explaining the function of a Performing Rights Organization in simple terms.
3. Day 3Record a short screen-capture video. Narrate the script from Day 2 over a shot of your PRO's public homepage or a stock image of a concert.
4. Day 4Post your PRO video. In the comments, observe the reaction. Does it spark curiosity or feelings of empowerment among other artists? This feedback is your emotional resonance data.
5. Day 5Based on the engagement, outline three more 'Behind the Business' video ideas. Examples: 'What is a sync license?', 'The journey of a royalty payment.'
