This 3-day challenge guides you to analyze your most-saved song, identify its core emotional and structural elements, and then use those insights to workshop a new, high-potential demo.
The plan, day by day
- Day 1Data & Deconstruction. Identify your song with the highest save rate in Spotify for Artists. Listen to it three times, taking notes on structure, melody, and lyrics. What is the core feeling it evokes?
- Day 2AI-Assisted Analysis. Using the principles from the 'AI for Musicians' guide, paste the lyrics of your top song into a large language model. Prompt it: 'Analyze the emotional arc and key literary devices in these lyrics.' Use the output to deepen your understanding of its success.
- Day 3Creative Application. Start a new song idea (a 'response' to your most-saved track). Focus on recreating the emotional journey, not the exact sound. Record a one-minute voice memo demo. Does this new idea pass the emotional resonance test you defined on Day 1?
